Our New SLS Website is Here!

In April 2021 we interviewed a handful of amazing web developers who applied to create a new website for the Sustainable Lands Strategy. Because of their past experiences in Snohomish County, their knowledge of integrated floodplain management, and the plethora of visual content they had already created we selected CaravanLab for the job.

Since then, we have been working on creating a meeting place of sorts for SLS participants and all farm, fish, flood interests. Heavy on multimedia storytelling, we wanted the new website to be a place where people inside and outside of the region could go to learn about why integrated floodplain management is so important and what we’re doing here in Snohomish County. We wanted to create a learning space that was specific to SLS while also being broad enough to speak to other farm, fish, flood movements.

The website went live on the evening of December 14th, 2022. On the new site you will find a new short video that you can share with others to explain why SLS was created, listen to stories told by SLS participants, interact with a map of SLS-supported projects, and read about the history of the landscape.

We hope to update the stories featured as funding allows, and will continue to link to blog posts on the old site. Snohomish County will be posting meeting materials, and we will continue to communicate with social media, @farmfishflood on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
